Getting started with Pin Trading
The first thing you’ll be needing are pins! Pin & Patch Con events are perfect for finding multiple artists with a wide range of pins to get your collection started. You can also find starter sets at our Pin Trading Events or on our online store, most starter sets come with a lanyard and a selection of around 3-4 pins (some will contain more, others less). Wearing this lanyard will help identify you as a collector to PPC staff and other pin collectors who may ask you about your collection.
Booster Packs often contain slightly more pins and are designed to give your collection that boost you may need.
Once you have your pins, you can begin trading! The easiest way is to trade at a Pin & Patch Con Pin Trading Event, or with Pin & Patch Con Staff Members at any of our multiple events. Many Staff Members will be wearing a selection of pins on their lanyard, if the pin is on the lanyard then it is available for trade! Next all you need to do is see which pin the Staff Member would like of your collection.
The only rule we have is that only official Pin & Patch Con pins or pins by independent artists can be traded at our events with any of our Staff Members or Trading Boards. These are pins that have been purchased directly from an independant artist, are official PPC pins with our backstamp engraved on the back or pins from companies that have been pre-approved by PPC. Pins that do not meet this criteria are unfortunately not eligible for trade.
